Starting in March of 2003, Sean and I teamed up as Sean and Kevin International Brewing (S.K.I.). We surprised ourselves by creating outstanding beers in any style we dared attempt. Following our departure from Hampden in February 2004, we have split into the Roland Park and Medfield breweries of East Side Brewing (as in the Jefferson's "Movin' on up, to the East Side"), where we have continued to flourish. Sean's Organic Porter took first place in May 2004's Stainless Chef competition, beating out Bryan's Vanilla Porter and my Maple Porter. The Second Stainless Chef competition was held in early April 2005 where young upstart James Davies swept the contest with his excellent Milk Stout, taking home the vaunted Space Stien.
