Recipe for Emily's Summer Raspberry Ale

E.S.B. - Medfield

  • Grains:
    3/4 lb Honey Malt
    1/4 lb Dingmans Biscuit

  • Extract:
    6 lbs Alexanders Pale Malt Syrup

  • Additional Ingredients:
    3 lbs Mashed Red Raspberries
    3 lbs Mashed Black Raspberries
    1.5 oz Raspberry Extract

  • Hops:
    1 oz Mt. Hood (at Boil)
    1 oz Willamette (B+59)

  • Yeast:
    1 Wyeast # 1338 - European Ale

    Fermentation Schedule:
    Brewed and primary - August 2004-ish


    Label Notes:
    This label was created by her wonderfulness, Emily. It was her desire to look at a picture of me while drinking a beer, and this silly picture of me became 'Eye Candy'. A little background on the picture lest you think that I pose like this all the time: When my sister and I were out in California in Jan 2004, we rented a mustard yellow Mustang Convertible to go sight-seeing one day. I felt so Vanilla Ice in my Mustang, that I sported this mock badass pose.
