COS INVESTIGATION TEAM

The COS Instrument Development Team (IDT) has extensive experience in ultraviolet space astronomy and a professional commitment to seeing the field prosper in the future. We have participated in every major spectroscopic mission, including Copernicus, IUE, HST/GHRS and STIS, EUVE, FUSE and numerous rocket programs. Since the 1990 launch of HST, the members of our team have participated in over 100 HST observing programs using both spectroscopic and imaging instruments. These scientists have a deep appreciation for the power of HST and a vision for its potential to extend to deeper fields and fainter targets.
